This does not include anyone who merely furnishes materials or supplies under Section 7045 without fabricating them into or consuming them in the performance of the work of the general building contractor.

From the definition, a general building contractor takes responsibility for most building projects from residential to commercial, including new-built or remodeling.

When to Choose General Building Contractor?

  1. Your project costs more than $500 include payments for workers.

  2. The project involves more than two trades, if not, the general contractor has to hold license classification and subcontractors to perform works.
